Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems have increasingly become an indispensable part of our everyday lives.
All of this however comes with conditionality that they break down as the average product life cycle works.
And when they do break down , one is left scrambling to either get a replacement or find someone to fix the mess.
This is where it can get difficult. Not all companies have a team of experts who are willing to take care of product issues after delivery. Then again, they might have a system in place, but which isn’t as efficient as it is supposed to be. If one wishes to escape from these hassles and sets out to find an independent party to fix everything up, they often find themselves unable to find anybody.
If and when things break down, the consequences are many and can range from mild to severe.
While the below list isn’t complete, it does give a general idea about what is likely to happen:
1.) Discomfort:
The main purpose of having HVAC systems in place is comfort .
Humans have been modifying the environment for a very long time, as far as recorded history goes. When the system that makes this possible falls apart, so does the environment that it has created.
The actual impact can go from mild to severe depending on where the person is staying. If one lives in a place where the climate is moderate, they won’t have any real problems as such. But if they happen to stay in a place where the climate can range in the extremes, it is going to be a completely different story altogether.
2.) Health Impact:
Breakdown in the Air Conditioning and Heating systems can cause health effects in a lot of cases.
While heating or cooling systems won’t be much of an issue when they break down, air circulation systems breakdowns can be a major issue.
A proper system of internal circulation is necessary to keep the air inside fresh and breathable. If this circulation stops and the system breaks down, the air can become stale and filthy. This can lead to a lot of health issues due to the growth of microbial life and other harmful living organisms.
3.) Economic Impact:
The control of internal temperature and air quality isn’t always for people.
There are a lot of industrial applications for Heating and Air Conditioning technologies. A lot of industries rely on these systems to maintain their products from spoilage. A minute breakdown in the system can cause damage, whose losses can range in the millions.
These could cause a chain reaction as a minor breakdown in the system in one part can seriously affect other parts of the supply chain, bringing everything to a grinding halt.
As a whole, HVAC systems play a very important role in our day to day life.
Regardless of the way they are used today, they truly run the modern world, often in ways that are very much subtle and which often go unnoticed .thank you
